Description
I grew up with this water nymph playing in a fountain in the museum where I attended art classes. Philbrook is an Italian Renaissance villa converted to an art museum in Tulsa Oklahoma. It was built in the 20s and much of it's interior reflects that period. The fountains are turned off to preserve the art these days, but that place, past and future, is part of who I am. "With eager hand she waves and beckons, Nods quickly, smiles as from afar And shoots, within two flashing seconds, Into still water like a star." ==Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin By Artist Susan Vineyard
